Fatal collision causes closure on southwest Calgary ring road

Calgary police were investigating a motor vehicle accident that left one person dead Tuesday afternoon. At approximately 1:10 p.m., EMS responded to a call regarding a motor vehicle collision on Stoney Trail at 90th Avenue S.W. One person died at the scene, according to police. Calgary police said they were investigating the collision and asked motorists to avoid the area in the meantime.
