Halifax District RCMP Seek Public Assistance to Identify Driver | SaltWireThe group representing farmers’ market associations across the country wants the federal government to put money into a national nutrition coupon fund to strengthen or help start provincial and territorial programs.
The fund provides money to farmers’ markets, which then distribute coupons in the amount of funding received to social agencies that help identify households experiencing food insecurity and provide them with “food bucks” to be used at the local farmers’ market.
