Queen’s Park appears to have more money allocated for its current health care programs than is actually being spent.
The Financial Accountability Office is projecting an excess of $4.4-billion between the 2022-23 and 2025-26 fiscal years. The watchdog had previously been projecting a shortfall of around $10-billion for that period. However, officials recently boosted its expected health spending by around $15-billion, as per the 2023 provincial budget.
The FAO noted the extra funds could go into new health programs, or help pay off the province’s debt.Ctrl+Enter
