Constable Andrew Hong, a 22-year veteran of the force, was killed on his lunchbreak Monday while in Mississauga for training.The force also says they’re grateful for the outpouring of support of Hong and planning for his funeral is underway.
They say details about the funeral as well as information about a book of condolences will be shared in the days ahead.President of the Toronto Police Association, Jon Reid, says Hong was part of a highly specialized motorcycle unit used to provide sercurity escorts for important dignitaries, like prime ministers and presidents.Photo courtesy of Toronto policeCtrl+Enter
