The assailant “threw an unknown chemical onto the victim” causing “severe burns to her face and body,” police said in a statement released Wednesday, adding the attacker then snatched the victim’s cellphone and ran off.“Through investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect to be a family member of the victim,” police said.
