The 24th annual Ceremony of Remembrance was held Sunday at the Ontario Police Memorial in Toronto.
There is a historical addition this year to the Wall of Honour who was identified by the Ontario Police Memorial Historian after research by the Durham Regional Police.Lieut. Gov. of Ontario Elizabeth Dowdeswell said it is a great privilege to pay tribute to those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Jason Tomlinson, president of the Memorial Foundation, said these officers didn’t carry the same badge, but all had the similar cause to keep communities safe.
