TIMMINS, Ont. – The St. Ignatius Falcons continued to roll through the competition at the OFSAA Boys AA Basketball Championship.
The fifth-seeded Falcons downed Ottawa’s Ashbury College 66-48 in quarterfinal play on Tuesday to advance to Wednesday’s semifinal, when they will take on St. Catharines’ St. Francis C.S.S. At the OFSSA Girls AA Volleyball Championship in St. Catharines, the Westgate Tigers, seeded No. 17, fell in three straight sets in the quarterfinal to hometown second seed Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School, losing 12-25, 14-25 and 7-25.
