St. Louis Blues center Radek Faksa tipped in a shot by Tyler Tucker with 8:49 remaining in the third period, securing a 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames . This marked Faksa's third goal of the season and his first since November 17th. Colton Parayko also found the back of the net for the Blues, while Jordan Binnington made 26 saves to earn the win.
The Blues extended their winning streak against the Flames to five games, improving their record to 9-1-0 in their last 10 encounters with Calgary.The Flames, who were coming off a 5-2 win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, saw goalkeeper Dan Vladar start in place of Dustin Wolf. Calgary managed to tie the game at 6:06 of the third period when defenseman Noah Bahl scored his second goal of the season, breaking a scoreless streak since December 3rd. The Blues' victory was fueled by their strong performance following a loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday. Coach Jim Montgomery's post-game criticism seemed to motivate the team as they took an early lead and fought back after the Flames tied the game. An impressive effort by Alexey Toropchenko set up Faksa's goal. Toropchenko kept possession of the puck after a clearing attempt, eventually finding Tucker whose shot was tipped in by Faksa.
