A 24-year-old woman was arrested days after posing as a state child services worker and pepper spraying an Essex County resident in a bizarre incident at a Maplewood home, authorities said.The incident unfolded on Sept. 30 when a Brown Street resident received a phone call from a woman claiming to be from the state division of Child Protection and Permanency, officials said.
Minutes later, the woman showed up the resident’s home, said she was a child services worker and demanded to be let inside, according to police.
