FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Fairbanks North Star Borough School Board gathered for a special meeting on the evening of Thursday, March 28 which addressed comments made by Board President Brandy Harty last week.
Some testified in support of Harty, others against her remaining in her position, with the majority of testifiers in support of the President. Opponents of Harty, meanwhile, were unimpressed with her apology, and said there is no excuse for her behavior.In her public testimony, former Assemblymember Tammie Wilson said, “To say that here in public and not take ownership immediately is where the flaw was, so the least thing I believe that you can do is to remove her as President, because she’s already taken that position and not used it correctly.
