Travelers concerned about delays on the runway might want to pay attention to the roadway to Newark Liberty Airport starting Monday evening. That’s when major road work on some of the bridges in front of terminals at the airport is scheduled to start, weather permitting, meaning one of the three traffic lanes servicing Terminals B and C, will be closed 24/7, said Port Authority of New York and New Jersey officials.
The work, which is scheduled to be done in two phases, begins with closing the extreme left lane of Express Road at the old Terminal A. That work will continue to the farthest left lane of Express Road Terminal B, with an expected completion date of November 2023, officials said.
