Christopher Collare, a former drug cop with the Cumberland County Drug Task Force and FBI, was found to have used his position to obtain sexual favors from two women, among other convictions, in a trial last July.

Collare, a 54-year-old former Carlisle drug cop, was sentenced to 75 months in federal prison for taking bribes in the form of sexual favors, giving people drugs and lying in statements to federal agents. For at least six years, Collare abused his position for favors from six different women, according to prosecutors.
Wilson said Collare preyed upon vulnerable women who had drug addictions by offering them drugs. He also undermined public confidence in law enforcement, she said. Sentencing guidelines don’t account for those factors, Wilson said, explaining why the sentence goes beyond the guidelines.
