Pokémon Presents in February 2023, a celebration of Pokémon Day, brought forth a good amount of news for the franchise’s fans. The new information revolves around titles for Nintendo Switch, like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, multiplatform games, such as Pokémon Unite and Pokémon Café ReMix, as well as ongoing and upcoming mobile games, Pokémon GO and Pokémon Sleep. Even a new animated series was revealed during the presentation.
Pokémon Concierge is set in the Pokémon Resort and follows the story of said concierge, Haru. The animated show will show her adventures as an employee at the Resort and how she interacts with the different Pokémon that attend the location. According to Pokémon Presents, the animation studio behind the production is Dwarf Studio. Pokémon Concierge does not have an estimated release date but is “coming soon,” according to Netflix’s statement during the presentation.
Along with it for Pokémon Day, Nintendo revealed the Pokémon GO Plus+ accessory, which is expected to launch on July 14. The device can be used with both Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon GO. Pressing the button before sleeping and once the player has awoken will help measure their sleep data for the mobile app. Pokémon GO’s fast catching system will also be facilitated by the device, along with spinning Poké Stops.
