Fisker has given the EV world a closer look at the Pear, which will undercut anything Tesla offers in price. Here's what the Pear promises.

And from the latest glimpses, it's clear that the Pear won't be a smaller version ofFisker has given the small crossover hatch a distinctive design, complete with curved A-pillars—a design detail we haven't seen on too many cars of late. The latest sketches also reveal an interesting D-pillar design and a relatively narrow rear window, with wraparound taillights integrated into the roof spoiler cap.

"The Fisker Pear breaks design conventions. We weave in the very latest updatable tech and wrap it in a compact mobility device approximately 4500mm long that still has clever storage, room for five, and many industry-first features," the automaker indicated. The Pear is expected to enter production in 2024 in Lordstown, Ohio, but it might take a while for assembly to reach full output. When it comes to specs, Fisker is promising a range of 300 miles in at least one version—a range that will no doubt be helped by its modest exterior dimensions and curb weight, compared to other EVs. The Pear will be offered in a single-motor, rear-wheel drive-layout in base form, while higher trims will offer a dual-motor layout.
