De Armas started her career in the cinema of Spain, but it didn't take long for Hollywood to come calling, and she became a bona fide star in movies like 2016's War Dogs and the blockbuster 2017 sequel Blade Runner 2049.

Ghosted The Apple TV Plus original Ghosted attempts to blend action with a fair amount of romance and comedy, but it mostly misses the mark on all fronts. In the movie, a regular Joe develops feelings for a mysterious woman only to learn that she's a secret agent. Despite it having strong action sequences, they're mostly things seen in other movies, and Ghosted failed to move the needle with critics despite featuring two certified hit makers.
Knives Out The first meeting of Ana de Armas and Chris Evans in movies was also their most successful, as Knives Out was the surprise hit of 2019. Following the death of a family's patriarch, the immediately iconic detective Benoit Blanc is called upon to solve the mysterious murder. Evans and de Armas have meaty roles in the ensemble comedy, and each play to their unique strengths.
