Anyone with more than a passing awareness of Marianas Trench likely has some familiarity with that. Whether it's from their shoestring budgetmusic video or Ramsay's own pandemic-era transition into a social media influencer, it's hard to deny they've always straddled the boundary between musicians and self-promoting content creators.

But it was also the year and a half it took to write and record the plan they set out with. Like their 2011 album or song, a study on the nature of the "hero's journey" in mythmaking that Campbell believed explained the fundamental building blocks of all storytelling.
