Feilong has blown up Tony's brownstone , framed James Rhodes for murder, and faked the suicide of Stark Unlimited's primary stockholder, Zhong Wei. After filling the air with mutant-detecting Stark Sentinels, Feilong adds insult to injury with one built in War Machine's image. Invincible Iron Man presents a Tony Stark laid low, writing his memoirs.
This vague mention in a video diary of the new metal is one of Howard Stark's most valuable bequeathals to his son. In an alliance, and marriage of convenience with Emma Frost, Tony comes to learn that this metal is mysterium, something the mutants can mine in The White Hot Room. Mysterium's resistance to detection or damage may be the only thing that can face the Stark and War Machine Sentinels.
