The Pentagon is preparing to provide housing for as many as 1,000 people who may have to be quarantined after returning to the U.S. from areas affected by the coronavirus outbreak
The Pentagon has selected four locations to assist an evacuation operation, including Travis Air Force Base and Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in California; the 168th Regiment, Regional Training Institute in Colorado; and Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.on Friday that the U.S. government was planning to evacuate as many as 1,000 additional Americans from coronavirus-affected areas.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health confirmed on Saturday a Boston man in his 20s, who recently traveled to Wuhan, China, tested positive for the virus late Friday evening, making him the eighth person in the U.S. to contract the virus, which has killed at least 259 people and infected nearly 12,000 in China.
