Mayor Adams said that straphangers are enjoying a “cleaner” and “safer” subway system, despite high-profile crime incidents.The NYPD deployed 1,200 officers to patrol the subway in October as the crime underground turned into an election season political issue.“They’re saying they feel safer. They feel it’s cleaner,” Adams said on MSNBC, referring to the results of a yet-to-be-released MTA survey.
