A former landfill in South San Francisco is set to become a luxury hotel from a SoCal developer. The project is up for approval this week.

The agreement stipulates that Ensemble must win approval for a plan to continue monitoring methane and volatile organic compounds at the site, which sits atop$250,000 to the city as a contribution for funding a new sewer pump station.in 2011. The Oyster Point specific plan first identified 367 Marina Blvd., identified with the red star below, as a potential hotel site.city and Ensemble had extended negotiations four times since 2018.
“The project aims to fill the market need, providing a 4-star hotel to service the growing business developments within the Oyster Point specific plan and surrounding areas,” the team wrote. “The project will provide additional function and meeting space while being positioned at an international audience for business travelers. The project amenities will provide an anchor for the community with its food and beverage offerings as well as gathering opportunities within the lounge and bar spaces.
