The community college has opened the laboratories at HACC’s York campus at 2010 Pennsylvania Ave., William F. Goodling Center, Room 117 in York and at HACC’s Lancaster campus at 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike, East Building, Room 305 in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County.HACC held grand opening celebrations and open house events at both campuses earlier this month.
The EMS labs are run by HACC’s Senator John J. Shumaker Public Safety Center, which provides professional public safety training. HACC’s Lancaster and York campuses have hosted emergency medical technician courses previously; however, they have not had dedicated lab space previously. “The new labs will have state of-the-art training equipment and classroom capabilities to support the most comprehensive education and training for future emergency medical services professionals,” Bob Stakem, executive director of the Senator John J.
