Last night, the rapper surprised fans with his new album,
but it wasn’t the only surprise he dropped on them. With the new record also came a music video for his track “Darkness,” which for lack of a better word, was pretty … dark.gunman, clad in a hood, under the influence and “armed to the teeth.” He narrates the moments leading up to the massacre with spoken word: “round after round, I’m getting loaded. That’s a lot of shots, huh?”
A scene follows with an older man resembling the original gunman Stephen Paddock, firing shots from his Las Vegas hotel. Complete with blood and very realistic-looking gunshots, the video serves as a graphic recreation of the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history. Eminem also references other mass shootings with a montage of media soundbites, followed by a call to action to vote: “When will this end? When people care.
