The First Nation is trying to recruit more first responder volunteers.

FORT WILLIAM FIRST NATION — Fort William First Nation is looking to bolster its ranks of volunteers who are trained to respond to community emergencies.

The course, which is free for participants, still has some spaces available, a Fort William First Nation community bulletin said. "Our first response team is one of about 50 First Nation response teams in Ontario mandated by the Ministry of Health," the bulletin said.
