Water service was disrupted Saturday in Millburn and Maplewood due to two emergency repairs, according to alerts from New Jersey American Water.. The utility said customers along Old Short Hills Road could experience no water, low pressure or discolored water.. Residents along North Terrace were advised they could experience the same issues.
The utility said both repairs would take about two hours, though both alerts were still active as of 2:30 p.m. Water officials advised customers that if the water is discolored, they should run cold water from the home’s lowest level for three to five minutes so that it becomes clear.
