Elizabeth Warren says America should ‘never elect a man like Donald Trump again’
Elizabeth Warren, a Democratic senator from Massachusetts who’s in the mix for the 2020 presidential race, told an audience on national TV Monday night the country should “never elect a man like Donald Trump again.”
Colbert asked if Warren would attend fancy dinners or call upon wealthy donors to help finance her campaign, and Warren replied that she wouldn’t listen to PACs, super PACs or lobbyists in the District of Columbia’s inner loop. Warren, who is competing in a crowded Democratic field, pledged to run a “grassroots” campaign by connecting with people instead of big money.
The senator added that she wanted to not only keep Trump from getting re-elected but to keep the White House away from someone like him “again.”
