The car can be recharged in around 50 minutes.Naturally, the batteries and componentry add a little weight. In all, Electrogenic says the package adds about 220 lbs to the overall weight of the car. On the other hand, it now has regenerative braking and several driving modes for the city, power-saving, and high-performance driving.
“The delivery of this special 911 marks the start of an exciting new chapter for Electrogenic,” said Steve Drummond, Electrogenic’s co-founder. “The kits enable us to offer our market-leading, ‘plug and play’ EV technology to customers around the globe, and at scale, taking our business to a whole new level.”
The E62 conversion package is available for G-Body and 964-generation Porsche 911s. Electrogenic also offers kits for Land Rovers, the Jaguar E-Type, and the Triumph Stag.
