Montreal police say the boy was conscious when officers arrived on scene but later died in hospital of his injuries.They say the 34-year-old driver was treated at the scene for shock, but neither she nor her 31-year-old passenger were injured.

Police say the driver came to a full halt at a stop sign, but struck the child when she started driving again.
