The CW is about to lose eight important affiliates: the CBS owned and operated stations that are currently affiliated with theThe affected stations are WPSG Philadelphia, WUPA Atlanta, KBCW San Francisco, KSTW Seattle, WTOG Tampa-St. Petersburg, WKBD Detroit, KMAX Sacramento and WPCW Pittsburgh.

There have been rumors in the station world for some time that the CBS owned and operated stations were looking to break it off with CW. One sign of trouble was after CW announced itSince CW affiliates are only contractually obligated to air primetime programming, all eight of the CBS-owned CW affiliates declined to air the weekend tourneys — no doubt because of the company’s ongoing relationship with the PGA.
In markets like Chicago and San Francisco — where CBS has those CW affiliates — other local stations and/or diginets aired LIV instead.
