He was acquired along with forwardDineen has played most of his six-year professional career in the AHL. In 284 career AHL regular-season games, the Toms River, New Jersey native has recorded 127 points , eight power-play goals and a minus-33 rating. He has spent seven seasons in the AHL with both the Tucson Roadrunners and Bakersfield Condors.

In 2023-24, he played 58 games with the Condors, finishing with 25 points . He was minus-1 in two Calder Cup Playoff games and has one assist in five career AHL playoff games. In the NHL, Dineen dipped his toes in with the Arizona Coyotes during the 2021-22 season. He made his NHL debut on Nov. 5, 2021 against the Anaheim Ducks. In 34 NHL games, the 5-foot-11 defender tallied seven assists and finished with a minus-16 rating. He has yet to play a Stanley Cup Playoff game.
