A lawyer for convoy organizers has revealed cops were leaking information to protesters: “There was a steady stream of information and leaks coming from all the different police forces and security agencies,” Keith Wilson told the inquiry.Article content Whatever the personal views individual police officers may have had regarding the convoy, their job is to enforce the law — not enable people who may be breaking it. Police are an armed paramilitary force that cannot function without discipline. Cops cannot go rogue. There are reports a former protection officer for Justin Trudeau leaked the prime minister’s schedule to the convoy.
Our police are well paid and highly respected. We have a right to expect professionalism from them. That’s clearly not what we’re getting.
