In Ontario, the Conservative government has announced it will allow private clinics to offer some surgeries and diagnostic treatments.

In B.C., the NDP government of Premier David Eby plans to send up to 4,800 patients to the U.S. over the next two years to clear up a backlog in cancer treatments. The province has one of the longest waits for radiation treatment in this country. Radiation therapy costing $3,854 in B.C. will cost $12,277 in Bellingham, Washington. The province will also cover travel and accommodation costs.In B.C.
