Remembrance Day is devoted to sombre reflection, and there is much that individuals and leaders must consider about the circumstances in which we find ourselves in 2023 — 78 years since the end of the Second World War.In years past, as swelling and ebbing crowds attended cenotaph services across Atlantic Canada, the wars whose dead and damaged we were remembering seemed remote. This year, it is unfortunately all too easy to understand the concept of suffering and sacrifice.
