An area of rain is going to move across the Island from west to east overnight and will be mostly offshore of the Avalon by 6 or 7 AM Thursday morning. Future Radar does a very good job timing out the rain working its way across the Island.

Rainfall amounts tonight into early Thursday will not be overly significant, but some areas of the West Coast will see as much as 30 mm, while the rest of the Island and southern parts of the Big Land will see as much as 15 mm.Lows across the Province tonight will be near 10° for much of the Island and between -4° and +3° in Labrador. Labrador West will see showers change to flurries, while southern and eastern areas will see some light rain and/or showers overnight.

And while we are in for a pseudo-mild weekend on the Island… next week may not be as warm. In fact, many areas of the Island may see their first snowflakes of the season Monday or Tuesday. And that’s probably not the best news as I don’t think many of us want to see snow, or rain, or Halloween. Stay tuned for details on this one!
