Anyone who’s come to the organization knows the two guys who’ve always symbolized the B.C. Lions in service and loyalty were Kato and Billy Reichelt.
“When former players came back they came back to see Kato,” said Travis Lulay. “He was the constant. Kato transcended time.” Those things included a couple of health issues that slowed Kato down but could never stop him. The Lions were his life and if he had few interests outside the locker-room, that didn’t seem to bother him.
