Colin Wesley Pynn, 44, is awaiting trial in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Truro on charges of sexual interference, making child pornography and possessing child pornography. The East Hants man's trial was supposed to get underway this week but was adjourned until April at the request of the defence.

Pynn’s trial was supposed to begin Wednesday in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Truro, but defence lawyer Robert Jeffcock asked to be removed as solicitor of the record Tuesday during a telephone conference with Justice Jeffrey Hunt. The judge delayed the start of the trial until Thursday to allow Jeffcock and Pynn to have a couple of last-minute meetings.

“It became abundantly clear we are not in a position to proceed with the trial as scheduled,” the defence lawyer said in requesting an adjournment.
