An Eagles player who has helped the Eagles become the best team in the league at stopping the run could miss Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders.
Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis stood off to the side during warm-ups before Friday's practice at the NovaCare Complex. Davis was added to the injury report Thursday with a hamstring issue.as his teammates stretched during Friday’s practice at the NovaCare Complex. The massive 6-foot, 6-inch, 336-pound tackle could not be missed, wearing his jersey over his black hoodie and a black sleeve on his left leg.
Davis has been instrumental in helping the Eagles limit opposing offenses running the ball. Heading into Week 8, the Eagles had the best run defense in the league, allowing an average of 62.9 yards per game. Davis has been able to draw double teams, especially on first and second downs when teams are trying to run between the tackles, allowing the other defensive tackles to win their matchups and bottle up their gaps and the linebackers to flow to the ball and get the ball carrier.
