Memphis will trade C.J. Miles to the Washington WIzards for Dwight Howard and will either trade or waive Howard, a source confirmed to the Commercial Appeal. ESPN first reported the details of the trade.Miles averaged 9.3 points on 36.4% 3-point shooting in 13 games after arriving in Memphis at the 2019 trade deadline as part of the Marc Gasol trade.Howard appeared in just nine games for the Wizards during an injury-plagued 2018-19 season.
In a separate move, Memphis is waiving veteran guard Avery Bradley, who was owed $12.96 million next season, The Athletic reported. By waiving Bradley, Memphis will save $10.96 million, because he was only owed $2 million if waived before July 8.
