School boards across Durham Region are getting ready for Ontario's impending ban on cell phones and social media in classrooms. Starting September 1, schools
For students between kindergarten and Grade 8:Students cannot use their devices during recess or lunch hour.
If a student is asked to hand in their device and refuses, they will be sent to the principal’s office. Students can also use their phones for “health and medical purposes” and to support special education needs.
