Durham College will be vying for gold when they host the Ontario College Athletics Association’s men’s basketball finals this weekend.
This is the first time in nearly 30 years that the Lords have been the top-ranked team in the country. “It feels amazing,” said Fakih, in an interview with Durham Radio News. “That was a wish that I had for my first year, coming in.”The Lords will play Humber College in a semi-final match Saturday afternoon.
Of course, Humber is only step one. The winner of Saturday’s match heads to the gold medal game Sunday.
