Duke center Kyle Filipowski has announced his decision to enter the 2024 NBA draft, forgoing his remaining collegiate eligibility. Filipowski expressed his gratitude and excitement for pursuing his lifelong dream of playing in the NBA.
star center Kyle Filipowski will forgo his final two years of collegiate eligibility and enter the 2024 NBA draft, he announced on social media.
"After careful consideration and consultation with the people closest to me, I have decided to declare for the NBA Draft," Filipowski said."This has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I am incredibly grateful to pursue it." Filipowski thanked the family, friends, fans, teammates and coaches for their support, as he now moves forward to begin his professional career.Filipowski was key in Duke's run to the Elite Eight this season, and was incredibly productive during his two-year stint in Durham. In 72 games for the Blue Devils, Filipowski averaged 15.8 points and 8.6 rebounds on 47.3% shooting from the floor and a 31.4% mark from three. He was a two-time All-ACC selection.
