“We’ve had our management technician down on site a couple of times,” said Adam Campbell, the manager of Atlantic operations for Ducks Unlimited Canada. “We were starting at a deficit going into last year, and it was another warm, dry year,” he said, adding that several sites in the past year didn’t recharge with water as they usually do, and that’s something that hasn’t been seen in the past.

“These wetlands tolerate dry cycles pretty well, but we do hope we can get water back on this winter, as long as we get good precipitation levels to get back up to that normal operating level,” Campbell said.Campbell said it’s not believed there are any leaks from the pond.
