Kodie Curran, who won Swedish Hockey League MVP and Defenceman of the Year in 2019-20, has agreed to a two-year deal with the AnaheimDucks.
signed defenceman Kodie Curran to a two-year contract Monday, the team announced.Curran has played the last two seasons with Rogle BK of the Swedish Hockey League, winning MVP and Defenceman of the Year in 2019-20. The 30-year old tallied 12 goals and 37 assists this past season, leading all blueliners in points and assists.
Prior to joining Rogle BK, Curran won back-to-back championships in Norway and Denmark . He was named the Norwegian Player of the Year and playoff MVP in 2017-18. A native of Calgary, Curran helped Team Canada advance to the championship game of the 2018 Spengler Cup, posting a plus-2 rating in four games during the tournament. His most recent professional action in North America came in 2015-16 when he appeared in 63 combined games split between the AHL and ECHL.
