A man was arrested Tuesday after police say was intoxicated while driving and randomly fired a gun out his window, hitting an occupied West Jordan home.
WEST JORDAN — A man was arrested Tuesday after police say he randomly shot a gun out his window while driving around, hitting one house and nearly injuring the people inside.
The investigation began Monday night when police responded to a report of shots fired near 3100 West and 6800 South. Two residents of a home told police they were standing in their kitchen when they heard "multiple loud bangs," according to a police booking affidavit. A second gunshot was also found on the brick exterior of the home. Witnesses saw a red pickup truck speeding away from the home. Surveillance video was also collected from a doorbell camera.
