The base of the tower wasn't visible through hazy night skies, causing the visitors to believe they'd spotted a UFO.

Two San Antonio visitors had an encounter of the third kind with the Tower of the Americas after indulging in a few too many drinks. During a trip to the Alamo City , Fred Delgado captured a video of the tower, which appeared to be a glowing UFO barely peeking through the foggy skies on March 27. The base of the tower wasn’t visible through the haze, and Delgado posted on TikTok that it was a scary experience after a couple of drinks.

Controversy over ‘Joe’ to be reviewed by Alamo Museum Planning Committee “At in the morning and a little drunk, it looked like a UFO,” he wrote. “We couldn’t see it because of the fog. We were visiting, and that thing came at us out of nowhere.” The video racked up over 3 million views as users poked fun at Delgado’s reaction and constant pleading for his friend “Frank” to solve the mystery. Others weren’t so convinced that the fog had really duped the duo.
