A TikTok car guru called 'Master Driver' shared what to do if your car key fobs stop working – and you shouldn't need to spend much money or call in a professional
Many of us have been there – frantically clicking our car keys and wondering why the doors still won't unlock.
That's because key fobs often stop working when the battery runs out. So you may not need to call in the professionals – the solution could be in your utility drawer. Demonstrating the issue, she said: "The car key cannot open the door, usually it's because the car key is out of power. Let's follow the gap of the car key to open it, there is a battery inside, take out the battery, then buy a battery of the same model and install it back. Now the door can open."
This would cost significantly less than heading to a garage and asking them to fix the problem – as you're using up their time and resources.
