The collision happened about 8 a.m. at the Scott Street crossing.
A driver died Thursday morning after trying to cross railroad tracks in San Bruno and being hit by a Caltrain, officials said.
The crash happened around 8 a.m. when Caltrain No. 108 hit the vehicle at Scott Street, according to a statement from Caltrain spokesman Dan Lieberman.Emergency personnel remained at the scene past 9 a.m. The train had approximately 31 passengers, and none of them were injured, according to Lieberman.
Caltrain closed its track in the southbound direction. Lieberman said trains were moving through the site in both directions but were using only a single track.Caltrains urged customers on trains going through the area to visit its Twitter page @CaltrainAlerts for updates on other train delays or cancellations.
