Toronto police are investigating a fatal crash after two cars collided in the city's northwest on Monday night. The crash happened in the area of Weston Road and Starview Lane, south of Sheppard Avenue West. Police said they received a 911 call about a serious crash shortly after 8:30 p.m. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, after paramedics tried to save his life, while another man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Toronto paramedics.Police have not yet determined how the crash happened. The age of the man who died was not released.
Initially, police received reports that one of the vehicles struck a house following the crash, but that information has turned out to be incorrect.
