Stunt driving, which includes speeding by 50 km/h or more over the limit, or 40 km/h where the limit is less than 80 km/h, carries an automatic 30-day driver’s licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impound ahead of a court date. Upon conviction, a stunt driving charge carries a further licence suspension, fines of $2,000 to $10,000, six demerit points and a mandatory driver improvement course.
