A driver in their 20s has died in hospital after being shot at from another vehicle on a residential street in east Toronto earlier this month, and a suspect has been arrested and charged.

“Two vehicles were travelling northbound on Dolly Varden from Brimorton Drive, when an individual fired from one vehicle into the other,” Toronto Police Service Insp. Jeff Bangild said at the scene.On Wednesday, Toronto police said in a release that the victim, identified as 21-year-old Toronto resident Dequan Demos, died in hospital on Friday.
