The Fountain Place tower, pictured to the right of the new Amli apartment tower, is one of downtown Dallas' best known skyscrapers.A landmark downtown Dallas skyscraper is upping its office leasing pitch with the construction of a private social and sports club.Built in 1986, the green glass rocket-shaped tower is one of the most recognizable landmarks on the skyline.
“Cypress at Fountain Place is not just another club, it’s truly a groundbreaking creation,” Chris Hipps, senior managing director at CBRE Group, said in a statement. “This is first-in-class, first-in-market, and first-in-country.“It sets Fountain Place apart and marks a new era of workplace luxury,” he said.
The Cypress club is representative of a growing trend by office building owners to offer elaborate amenities to lure workers back to the office and increase building leasing. The club interiors were designed by Kellie K. Sirna of Studio 11 Design, which has a track record of Texas hotel and restaurant interiors. “I wanted to tell a story that speaks to the rich and diverse tapestry that weaves Texas to some of its favorite pastimes - golf, hunting and food,” Sirna said.The private club is the latest upgrade for the iconic office tower, which was designed by the firm of famed architect I.M. Pei.Irving’s Pioneer Natural Resources strikes $59.
